Audio recordings can be conversations between two people, a person arranging
events, or even a tourist guide giving instructions in a tour. What the
candidate should know is how to listen carefully to details – even those seem to
be unimportant details. With the speaking test, candidates have to sit in front
of a native English speaker and be asked questions on different topics. The
evaluation is right on the spot; hence, a lot have experienced cold feet during
this test.
Finally, candidates need to show how well
they can compose a letter, a graph interpretation or their own opinion on a
statement in the writing section. They have to come up with an essay that will
answer the given task and be supported with points that are strong enough for
the claims in the essay.
On the day of the exam, candidates are
placed in a room. Everyone should take the exam at the same time. They are
monitored by representatives from British Council or IDP – authorized agencies
of the IELTS test. Every candidate is watched carefully from start to finish of
